Jupiter Mines Delivers Strong Finish to FY2026 as Tshipi Output Rises
ASX-listed Jupiter Mines has reported a strong finish to its 2026 financial year, with production and sales at its Tshipi manganese mine in South Africa increasing significantly during the June quarter.
Jupiter, which holds a 49.9% beneficial interest in Tshipi é Ntle Manganese Mining, said the mine produced 966,183 tonnes of manganese during the quarter, representing a 14% increase from the previous quarter and a 23% rise year-on-year.
Sales also increased by 12% quarter-on-quarter, taking full-year sales to approximately 3.5 million tonnes.
This exceeded the company’s expected sales volume and its historical average of about 3.4 million tonnes annually.
The strong quarterly performance reinforces Tshipi’s position as a significant manganese producer in South Africa’s Northern Cape and highlights the mine’s ability to maintain high production and sales volumes.
Jupiter said the results demonstrate continued operational strength at Tshipi, with the mine benefiting from its established production base and position in the Kalahari manganese field.
The performance comes as manganese remains an important industrial mineral, primarily used in steelmaking and increasingly attracting attention for its potential role in battery technologies.
Jupiter’s strong year-end performance positions the company for continued growth as it seeks to maintain production reliability and capitalise on opportunities in the global manganese market.
