Blencowe Resources Reports Consistent High-Grade Graphite Results at Beehive Deposit, Strengthening Orom-Cross Project Growth
London-listed Blencowe Resources Plc has reported additional assay results from shallow drilling at its newly identified Beehive deposit in Uganda, confirming strong continuity of graphite mineralisation and reinforcing the deposit’s development potential.
The Beehive and Iyan deposits represent significant new exploration discoveries from the company’s 2025 drilling campaign and are both expected to contribute substantially to the size and long-term value of the Orom-Cross Graphite Project.
Extensive Shallow Drilling Confirms Near-Surface Mineralisation
As part of its Stage 7 drilling programme, Blencowe completed 110 shallow drill holes at the Beehive deposit to evaluate the continuity, thickness, and near-surface extent of graphite mineralisation.
The programme focused on defining bulk mineable graphite resources close to surface, with drill holes reaching planned depths of approximately 30 metres.
Most of the reported holes intersected graphite mineralisation from near surface to the end of the hole, with many still in mineralised zones at completion.
This suggests strong potential for deeper extensions below the current drilling depth.
The findings are consistent with earlier deep drilling results, which demonstrated graphite mineralisation extending to depths of approximately 100 metres.
Potential for Resource Expansion
While the drilling programme was initially designed to define the northern boundary of the deposit, the results indicate potential extensions of up to 400 metres, particularly toward the northern and western sections of the mineralised zone.
Multiple drill holes recorded mineralised intervals of approximately 30 to 32 metres from surface, confirming both vertical continuity and suitability for bulk mining methods.
The latest results also highlight strong grade performance across the drilling batch:
- 12 drill holes recorded average grades exceeding 5% Total Graphite Carbon (TGC)
- Eight drill holes reported grades above 6% TGC
- All drill holes intersected graphite mineralisation
These results demonstrate consistent in-situ grades that are higher than the average grades recorded at other deposits within the Orom-Cross project area.
Progress Toward Maiden Mineral Resource
The additional shallow drilling results continue to support the presence of a thick, laterally extensive graphite system at relatively shallow depths.
The expanding dataset is now being used to support geological modelling and resource estimation ahead of a planned maiden mineral resource for the Beehive deposit, prepared in accordance with the Joint Ore Reserves Committee (JORC) reporting standard. The initial resource estimate is scheduled for release in the second quarter of 2026.
Further assay batches from the Beehive drilling programme are currently being reviewed by independent geological consultants Minrom Consulting for validation and quality assurance.
Results will be released progressively as analysis is completed and are expected to support future resource updates and provide greater clarity on the project’s overall scale and development readiness.
The company is also continuing strategic partnership and financing discussions in parallel.
Growing Strategic Importance of the Orom-Cross Project
To date, the Beehive deposit has been defined over approximately 1,200 metres of strike length and 480 metres of width, with significant potential for further expansion beyond the current drilling boundaries.
According to Cameron Pearce, Executive Chairperson of Blencowe Resources, the Beehive discovery is emerging as a key growth driver for the broader project.
He noted that the recently announced maiden mineral resource at the Iyan deposit estimated at 16.9 million tonnes increased total mineral resources at the Orom-Cross project by 66 percent, bringing the combined resource base to approximately 43 million tonnes.
Pearce added that the strong continuity and thickness demonstrated at Beehive are expected to translate into a meaningful increase in overall resource tonnage, subject to completion of laboratory analysis, geological modelling, and formal JORC reporting.
With access to renewable hydroelectric power and a rapidly expanding resource base, the Orom-Cross project is increasingly positioned as a strategic supplier of graphite to Western markets seeking secure, diversified critical mineral supply chains outside dominant production regions.
