Atlas Lithium Appoints Key Contractors for Brazil’s Neves Lithium Project, Targets Cost-Efficient Production
Atlas Lithium Corporation has appointed a group of operational partners to support the development of its wholly owned Neves lithium project in Brazil, marking a significant step toward project execution.
The selected firms emerged from a competitive tender process led by the company’s technical team.
Contracts were awarded following a detailed evaluation of technical expertise, past performance, quality standards, and cost efficiency.
According to Atlas Lithium, all agreements were finalized at or below the cost assumptions outlined in the project’s definitive feasibility study (DFS).
The Neves project is expected to produce approximately 146,000 tonnes per year of lithium concentrate, with an estimated operating cost of $489 per tonne at the mine gate.
By comparison, lithium concentrate is currently trading at around $2,000 per tonne, underscoring the project’s strong margin potential.
The company emphasized that its partner selection process prioritized technical alignment, execution capability, and strict adherence to quality and scheduling requirements.
The appointed firms bring extensive experience in Brazil’s mining and infrastructure sectors.
Among the key partners, Promon Engenharia will handle detailed engineering work for multiple components of the project.
The firm has completed more than 2,700 projects since 1960 and has specific experience in lithium developments in Brazil.
TSX Engenharia has been appointed to oversee overall project implementation, contributing expertise in capital management, project planning, cost control, and risk management within the mining sector.
Construction and procurement responsibilities for administrative and operational facilities will be managed by Cerne Construções, which specializes in modular construction and mining infrastructure.
Meanwhile, RETC Infraestrutura will lead earthworks and civil construction activities, leveraging more than four decades of combined experience in complex industrial projects across Brazil.
Atlas Lithium noted that additional contractor appointments are progressing rapidly, with the objective of achieving full operational readiness for the Neves project in the coming weeks.
