Element 25 Signs Long-Term Manganese Offtake Agreement with OM Materials for Butcherbird Production
Australian manganese producer Element 25 has signed a long-term offtake agreement with OM Materials, strengthening the commercial outlook for its Butcherbird manganese project in Western Australia.
Under the binding take-or-pay agreement, OM Materials will purchase 100% of the manganese concentrate produced by Element 25’s Butcherbird operation, providing the company with a committed market for its planned production.
The agreement is expected to support Element 25 as it advances the expansion of Butcherbird and works to increase manganese production.
Supporting Butcherbird expansion
The offtake agreement provides greater certainty around future sales and could help Element 25 secure financing for the next phase of the project.
Butcherbird is one of Australia’s significant manganese projects and is being developed to supply manganese products to international markets. Manganese is widely used in steel production and is also gaining importance in battery technologies.
Element 25 has been working to expand the project’s processing capacity and improve the quality and volume of its manganese products.
For OM Materials, the agreement provides long-term access to manganese concentrate that can be processed and supplied into global markets.
