Aldoro Lands A$21.5 Million Initial Commitment as Part of Proposed A$429 Million Investment in Namibia’s Kameelburg Project
Aldoro Resources has secured an initial funding commitment of approximately A$21.5 million as part of a proposed investment package worth up to A$429 million for the development of its Kameelburg critical minerals project in Namibia.
The Australian-listed explorer announced that it has entered into a memorandum of understanding (MoU) with WILLETECH International Investment, outlining a staged investment of at least 2 billion Chinese yuan, equivalent to approximately A$429 million.
The agreement includes an initial binding funding commitment of 100 million yuan, or about A$21.5 million.
However, Aldoro noted that proof of the investor’s funding capacity has not yet been provided, meaning the broader financing proposal remains subject to further confirmation and due diligence.
If completed, the transaction would significantly reshape the ownership structure of the Kameelburg project.
Aldoro’s interest in the project company would decrease from 85% to 42%, although the retained stake would be free-carried through to production.
This structure would allow Aldoro to maintain substantial exposure to future project revenues without contributing additional development capital during the agreed funding period.
The proposed arrangement also includes reimbursement of approximately A$10 million in historical project expenditure incurred by Aldoro, subject to the successful completion of definitive agreements.
The financing package has the potential to provide significant development capital for Kameelburg while transferring much of the project’s future funding requirements to WILLETECH.
Both parties are targeting the completion of definitive agreements within 15 business days, during which the investment structure, funding schedule and associated obligations are expected to be finalized.
Despite the positive announcement, Aldoro emphasized that the larger A$429 million investment should not yet be considered fully committed financing.
The transaction remains contingent on the execution of formal agreements and confirmation of funding availability.
If successfully concluded, the deal would mark a major milestone for the Kameelburg project, providing a pathway for accelerated development while enabling Aldoro to retain a meaningful stake in what could become a significant critical minerals asset in Namibia.
