Jupiter Mines Names Matthew Jarvis Interim CEO as Brad Rogers Steps Down
ASX-listed Jupiter Mines has appointed Matthew Jarvis as interim CEO with immediate effect following the resignation of Managing Director Brad Rogers, who will step down at the end of November.
Rogers, who has led Jupiter for four years, has accepted a CEO position with another company.
He will remain available to Jupiter in a consultancy capacity from November until February 2027 to support the leadership transition.
Jupiter chairperson Ian Murray thanked Rogers for his contribution to the company, noting that the business had continued to deliver strong returns for shareholders while working with Tshipi é Ntle Manganese Mining and its joint-venture partners to identify opportunities to optimise value.
Rogers said it had been an honour to lead Jupiter and praised the company’s team, board and partners for their support during his tenure.
He also highlighted the collaboration with Tshipi’s management, Ntsimbintle Holdings and Exxaro Resources in delivering outcomes for stakeholders.
Jarvis joined Jupiter in 2022 and is a mining engineer with 25 years of experience across South Africa and Australia, including 16 years specialising in manganese.
Based in Johannesburg, he has been involved in advancing Jupiter’s growth and consolidation strategy, as well as mine planning and operational improvement initiatives at the Tshipi manganese mine in South Africa’s Northern Cape.
Murray said Jarvis’ experience in the manganese industry, operations, mine planning and business development made him a strong candidate to lead the company on an interim basis.
Jarvis said he was looking forward to leading Jupiter and continuing the momentum established under Rogers.
He said his experience working closely with Jupiter’s executive team, board, stakeholders and partners had given him a strong understanding of the company’s operations and strategic priorities.
Jupiter said it remained focused on executing its strategy and creating value for shareholders during the leadership transition.
