Andrada Mining Limited has formed a strategic alliance with global mining leader SQM to accelerate the development of its Lithium Ridge project in Namibia.
Under the agreement, SQM will invest $20 million in an exploration program over the next three and a half years, including a definitive feasibility study.
This partnership is expected to significantly advance Namibia’s lithium mining sector and support the global shift toward renewable energy.
Located near Andrada’s flagship Uis Mine, Lithium Ridge spans a fully permitted 3,300-hectare mining license. The project features numerous pegmatites containing lithium, tin, and tantalum mineralization.
With SQM’s extensive expertise and resources, Andrada plans to fast-track the project’s development, positioning Namibia as a key player in the global lithium supply chain.
The collaboration highlights the increasing interest in Namibia’s mineral wealth and its potential role in meeting the demand for critical minerals.
Additionally, Andrada has solidified its position in the Uis Tin Mining Company by acquiring full ownership. This move aligns with its mission to foster local economic growth and empower communities in Namibia.
These milestones—the partnership with SQM and full ownership of the Uis Tin Mining Company—underscore Andrada’s commitment to growth and innovation in the critical minerals sector.
