ASX-listed Arizona Lithium has successfully produced battery-grade lithium carbonate from its Prairie Lithium Project in Saskatchewan, the company announced on Wednesday.
The lithium carbonate was derived from the Direct Lithium Extraction (DLE) eluent processed at the iLiad pilot plant, which operated at the Prairie project from November last year to February this year.
The DLE eluent was sent to Saltworks in Vancouver, Canada, where it was converted into battery-grade lithium carbonate.
Managing Director Paul Lloyd emphasized the significance of this achievement, noting that the high-quality product is now available for evaluation by potential offtakers and strategic partners.
Lloyd also confirmed that the company remains committed to bringing Pad #1 at the Prairie project into production next year.
