Aim-listed Firering has initiated a 3,000 m reverse circulation (RC) drilling campaign at its flagship lithium project, Atex, in Côte d’Ivoire.
The program focuses on lithium-bearing pegmatite targets identified as the next crucial phase for Atex, building upon significant intercepts from the 2022 diamond drilling campaign near Spodumene Hill and new targets from last year’s auger drilling.
The RC drilling, is expected to finish in four to six weeks, aims to advance the project rapidly. Firering CEO Yuval Cohen emphasized the importance of this phase, citing highly encouraging results from the previous diamond drilling campaign, which showcased significant intercepts, including an exceptional 64 m at 1.24% lithium oxide near Spodumene Hill.
Updates on pegmatite intercepts will be provided as they become available over the coming weeks, with assay results expected in the first quarter of 2024 after samples are sent to Intertek for analysis.
