URU Metals Advances Zeb Nickel Project with New Ground Geophysical Surveys in Limpopo
London-listed URU Metals has appointed GF International to conduct a combined ground gravity and frequency-domain electromagnetic (EM) survey across two priority targets at its Zeb Nickel Project, located near Mokopane in Limpopo, South Africa.
The survey aims to refine conductor geometry and define decision-ready drill targets, marking a major step forward in the project’s exploration program.
Advancing Toward Drill-Ready Targets
“Transitioning from airborne targeting to ground geophysics is the critical step to refine our highest-priority conductors along the intrusive margins,” said Richard Montjoie, URU’s Vice President of Exploration.
“The programme is designed to generate decision-ready targets for efficient drilling at Zeb Nickel. While the team is busy with the ground geophysics, we’re also ensuring full compliance with environmental and regulatory requirements. Putting the rehabilitation guarantee provider in place is a simple, value-protective step that keeps the project on the front foot.”
Environmental Compliance in Progress
In parallel with the geophysical work, URU has appointed a specialist service provider to implement the environmental rehabilitation guarantee required for the granting of the Zeb Nickel mining right.
This engagement covers the issuance of a financial guarantee that meets regulatory requirements and aligns with URU’s agreed financial-provisioning framework—a key step toward ensuring environmental compliance and securing the mining license.
Survey Timeline and Next Steps
Mobilisation for the survey is scheduled to begin in late October, with data acquisition expected to be completed within 30 field days, subject to weather conditions, line clearing, and site access.
Upon completion, URU will update shareholders with survey modelling results and drill parameters following the review of the contractor’s final report.
