Patriot Battery Metals Strengthens Board with Veteran Mining Executive Aline Côté
ASX- and TSX-listed Patriot Battery Metals has announced the appointment of veteran mining executive Aline Côté as an independent director to its board.
Côté brings over 27 years of international mining experience, with a distinguished career spanning exploration, technical services, and operational leadership.
She began her professional journey with Noranda and later held senior roles at both Xstrata and Glencore.
In 2014, Côté was appointed Head of Zinc Mining Technical Services at Glencore, and in 2019, she made history as the company’s first female industrial lead, overseeing Glencore’s global zinc and lead assets.
Her governance experience includes board positions at Kazzinc and Trevali Mining. Academically, Côté holds a Bachelor of Science in Geology and an MBA from the Université du Québec, along with postgraduate studies at Laurentian University.
“We are very pleased to welcome Aline to the Patriot Battery Metals team as an independent director,” said Board Chairperson Pierre Boivin.
“Aline is a highly respected executive in the mining sector and a strong addition to our board. Based in Québec and widely recognized across the global mining industry, she brings an exceptional combination of technical depth, operational leadership, and strategic perspective.
Her appointment strengthens our board’s industry credibility and reinforces our alignment with Québec’s growing role in the critical minerals value chain.”
Patriot Battery Metals is currently focused on advancing its 100%-owned Shaakichiuwaanaan Lithium Project (formerly known as Corvette) located in the Eeyou Istchee James Bay region of Québec—an emerging hub in North America’s critical minerals supply chain.
