Lithium exploration and development company Atlantic Lithium has successfully welcomed Ghana’s sovereign minerals wealth fund, the Minerals Income Investment Fund (MIIF), to its shareholder roster following the conclusion of the MIIF’s $5 million subscription.
This forms part of MIIF’s broader $32.9 million strategic investment aimed at supporting the development of the Ewoyaa lithium project and the Cape Coast lithium portfolio in Ghana.
The MIIF’s commitment further includes a subscription for 19.2 million Atlantic Lithium shares and a potential additional investment of $27.9 million in the company’s Ghanaian subsidiaries, securing a 6% contributing interest in its Ghana portfolio.
The strategic investment is anticipated to bolster Atlantic Lithium’s cash balance, mitigate project development expenses, and underscore Ghana’s commitment to long-term green minerals initiatives.
Atlantic Lithium views the MIIF’s investment as an endorsement of its value proposition and a pivotal step in advancing the Ewoyaa lithium project.
I have a Lithium prospect requiring further geological exploration.
Both Spodumene and Lepidolite have been identified in the area ie in Gutu Masvingo Zimbabwe.
