South Africa- and UK-listed Marula Mining has announced plans to host a site visit at its Kinusi Copper Mine in Tanzania.
The visit will allow a European commodity trading group to assess the high-grade copper concentrate process as part of an ongoing grade verification exercise.
Marula’s CEO, Jason Brewer, will accompany representatives from the trading group, Tanzanian logistics consultants, and independent laboratory officials during the visit next week.
As part of the site inspection, additional check samples of the “ready-for-sale” copper concentrates will be taken by laboratory representatives. Marula will also conduct quality assurance and control measures to ensure the accuracy of results.
Meanwhile, logistics experts will evaluate the mine’s facilities to coordinate the planned transportation of copper concentrates from Kinusi to a bonded warehouse in Dar es Salaam.
Marula remains on track to commence initial mining operations at Kinusi before the end of the year.
