Marula Mining, an Africa-focused mining and development company, has commenced site preparations for the installation and commissioning of an ore sorter at its Blesberg lithium and tantalum mine in South Africa’s Northern Cape province.
The Tomra COM XRT 1200 ore sorter is a pivotal component of the company’s strategy to enhance production and export high-value lithium products from Blesberg.
The ore sorter and associated equipment arrived in Northern Cape earlier this month, with ongoing maintenance and refurbishment work.
In addition to a previously secured R7 million, the company has now received an additional R2 million to support the refurbishment, installation, and commissioning of the ore sorter.
