Australian battery minerals explorer Firetail Resources has successfully concluded a farm-in agreement with SensOre, facilitated by Exploration Ventures AI (EXAI), their joint venture subsidiary.
This collaboration aims to explore lithium prospects at the Yalgoo project in Western Australia.
The agreement outlines EXAI’s potential to acquire up to 80% of the lithium rights on tenement E59/E2252 by investing A$3.5 million in two stages, with additional payments of up to A$600,000 upon the delivery of a maiden mineral resource estimate and prefeasibility study.
As part of the deal, SensOre will grant Firetail access to its proprietary AI technology, which has identified lithium/caesium/tantalum mineralization.
Together, the partners will work on confirming lithium exploration targets across the Yalgoo and Dalgaranga lithium projects.
Executive Chairperson Brett Grovenor expressed confidence in the collaboration, stating, “The agreement with SensOre enables the FTL team to continue to concentrate efforts on the current targets identified, whilst simultaneously unlocking the potential of the other tenements in the region.”
Additionally, Firetail is concurrently pursuing an initial drill program at the Picha copper project in Peru, showcasing the company’s multi-faceted approach to mineral exploration.
