DRA Global has been appointed by Frontier Lithium to support the development of a definitive feasibility study (DFS) for the mine and concentrator of its flagship PAK Lithium Project in Ontario, Canada.
President and Executive Vice President for DRA Americas, Pierre Julien, said project held strategic importance for DRA and the Americas team was well placed to help conduct the study and prepare the project for execution.
“With a major push for advancing critical minerals projects to execution in Ontario, we are excited to be part of this project and continue to deliver on our strategy to be a world leader in critical minerals and battery elements,” he said.
Frontier is developing the first fully integrated lithium mining-and-processing operation in Ontario to become the highest quality supplier of spodumene concentrates and battery-grade lithium hydroxide to North American markets.
The fully integrated mine, mill, and refinery flowsheet demonstrated in the preliminary feasibility study will be studied in two distinct scopes at the DFS level with the mine and mill scope set to conclude in the next 12-18 months.
