Atlantic Lithium, a leading lithium mining company, has recently announced the appointment of Keith Muller as CEO and Len Kolff as Head of Business Development & Chief Geologist. These appointments are effective immediately and mark a significant step in the company’s leadership team.
Keith Muller brings over 20 years of operational and leadership experience to his new role as CEO. He has a strong background in hard rock lithium mining and processing, with specific expertise in dense medium separation spodumene processing.
Muller initially joined Atlantic Lithium in November 2022 as COO, and his promotion to CEO reflects the company’s transition from an explorer and developer to a producer of high-quality, battery-grade spodumene concentrate.
Len Kolff, who had been serving as the interim CEO since March 2022, now assumes the position of Head of Business Development & Chief Geologist.
In this role, Kolff will oversee the ongoing exploration activities of the company and identify and develop growth opportunities that align with Atlantic Lithium’s existing portfolio, providing value to the company and its shareholders.
Neil Herbert, Executive Chairman of Atlantic Lithium, will continue to oversee the broader corporate activities of the company, including strategy, business development, finance, commercial, and investor relations. He will be supported by Finance Director and Company Secretary Amanda Harsas and Len Kolff.
Speaking about the appointments, Neil Herbert expressed his confidence in Keith Muller’s ability to lead the company through the construction phase and achieve first production at the Ewoyaa Lithium Project. Muller’s direct experience in operating a lithium mine with similarities to Ewoyaa positions him well to bring the project into production successfully.
Herbert also highlighted Muller’s expertise and network, particularly in Ghana, which will be instrumental in sourcing new project opportunities and unlocking value within the company’s existing portfolio.
Keith Muller commented on his new role, emphasizing the opportunity for Ghana to contribute to the global electric vehicle battery supply chain through the Ewoyaa project.
He expressed his commitment to maintaining a low environmental footprint and his enthusiasm for applying his experience from the hard rock lithium sector to ensure the success of the project.
Len Kolff also shared his excitement about the company’s progress, having taken the Ewoyaa project from discovery to the production transition phase.
As Head of Business Development & Chief Geologist, he will continue to advance the company’s exploration portfolio, mitigate risks associated with its assets, and seek new opportunities to deliver returns to shareholders and local stakeholders.
The appointments of Keith Muller as CEO and Len Kolff as Head of Business Development & Chief Geologist position Atlantic Lithium for further growth and success as it advances toward becoming a leading player in the lithium mining industry.
