Aim-listed Andrada Mining has announced encouraging initial drill results from 13 polymetallic pegmatites at its Uis mining licence in Namibia, reinforcing the scale and quality of mineralisation at the project, according to CEO Anthony Viljoen.
The pegmatites, located within a 3 km radius of the existing Uis tin mine processing plant, form part of a broader swarm of approximately 180 mineralised pegmatites identified within the licence area.
The current drilling campaign aims to validate historical data and evaluate the by-product potential of these previously mined areas.
The programme includes 44 diamond drill holes and 177 reverse circulation holes across the 13 pegmatites.
To date, results have been reported for 136 holes (61%), with analysis of the remaining 85 holes pending. Mineralisation has been confirmed across all 13 pegmatites along a 5 km strike length, with notable high-grade intersections in tin, lithium, and tantalum. All pegmatites remain open at depth.
Highlights include intersections of up to 1.13% tin, 1.76% lithium oxide, and 281 ppm tantalum, supporting Andrada’s goal to expand its resource base towards 200-million tonnes and advance reserve definition.
“These results underline the potential to restore Uis as a major global tin producer, now with the added advantage of high-value lithium and tantalum co-products,” said Viljoen.
“The polymetallic nature of the deposit greatly enhances the project’s economics and aligns with global demand for critical metals.”
He added that the company remains focused on disciplined growth, targeted investment, and scaling up production, positioning Uis as a cornerstone asset in Andrada’s long-term strategy.
