Trigon Metals is allocating between $2.5 million and $3.5 million to explore new prospects around its existing infrastructure and landholdings at the Kombat Mine in Namibia.
The Canadian company has identified Schlangental, located about 15 kilometers east of the active mining license ML73B, as a key exploration target.
The company has finalized a comprehensive exploration plan for the expansive Kombat property, which stretches nearly 35 kilometers from Gross Otavi in the west to Schlangental in the east.
The initial drilling at Schlangental marks the first campaign testing mineralization outside the main Kombat mining license.
Trigon Metals geologists were drawn to Schlangental by surface mineralization, and historical reports suggested that mineralization continued at depth, although no drill core or detailed logs were available.
Out of the planned 36 holes totaling 4,000 meters, only two have been drilled so far, both intercepting mineralization at shallow depths.
